Put GimmeDeets on your home screen
It takes about 20 seconds. You get a one-tap shortcut that opens full screen like a real app, and your Deets, QR and scanner are always right there.
Works the same on iPhone and iPad. Safari is the most reliable; Chrome and Edge work too on iOS 16.4 or newer.
- 1
Open gimmedeets.com in Safari
Go to gimmedeets.com and log in. Do this in the browser itself, not inside another app.
- 2
Tap the Share button
It's the square with an arrow pointing up, in the bar at the bottom of Safari (top right on iPad).
- 3
Choose “Add to Home Screen”
Scroll down in the share sheet until you see it, with a plus in a square. Tap it.
- 4
Tap “Add”
Keep the name GimmeDeets (or rename it) and tap Add in the top right corner.
- 5
Open it from your home screen
The GimmeDeets cup now sits with your other apps and opens full screen, with no browser bars.
Can't see “Add to Home Screen”? Scroll further down the share sheet, or tap Edit Actions and add it.
Once it's installed
- Open People and tap the scan button to read someone's QR code right inside the app.
- Your link and QR code stay exactly the same.
- It updates itself. You never have to reinstall.
